AMANAC – Advanced Materials & Nanotechnology Cluster for Energy Efficiency in Buildings

 

AMANAC is the Cluster of all Advanced Materials and nanotechnology PPP-EeB projects under FP7 and an extension of the Nano-E2B-Cluster.

AMANAC currently represents 28 European projects and about 255 projects partners of which 63% are enterprises. The projects have been grouped in the following six Thematic Areas:

- Insulation Materials: AEROCOINs; HIPIN;  VIP4ALL; HOMESKIN; ENE-HVAC; NANOHVAC;  nanoCOOL.
- Embodied Energy:  SUS-CON; LEEMA, BioBuild; ECO-Binder; ISOBIO.
- Smart Windows: WINSMART; SMARTBLIND; MEM4WIN; HARWIN.
- Lightweight Components: ADAPTIWALL, ELISSA, MF-Retrofit, SESBE, FOAM-Build.
- Indoor Environment: BRIMEE; ECO-SEE; H-HOUSE; OSIRYS; CETIEB.
- Pilot Production: NANOLEAP.
 

The main objective of the "Advanced Material & Nanotechnology Cluster" is to join efforts in order to promote synergies and fields of cooperation among Projects  whose activities focus on energy efficiency in the building environment. AMANAC Cluster will allow the involved projects to be more productive, competitive, successful and support them to establish a broader social and industrial impact.

"Embodied Energy" Thematic Area

 

SUS-CON, together with LEEMABioBuild, ECO-Binder and ISOBIO Partner Projects, actively participates in the Embodied Energy Action Plan in order to promote cross-actions not only within the Embodied Energy Thematic Area but also  collaborating with the partners of the other five Thematic Areas.

BIO-BUILD - High Performance, Economical and Sustainable Biocomposite Building Materials  

ECO-BinderDevelopment of insulating concrete systems based on novel low CO2 binders for a new family of eco-innovative, durable and standardized energy efficient envelope components

ISOBIODevelopment and demonstration of Highly Insulating, Construction Materials from Bio-derived Aggregates
